Australian Shepherds but we have a passion for all sizes of Aussies. Pups are raised as part of our family on our 230 acre ranch. We have no males that live with us at this time, but have co-own/partner males. Our dogs love to play and are very active but they can calm down and are controllable as well. It is important for us to produce dogs that are a pleasure to live with, easy to train, intelligent, with good social skills, as well as structural soundness and good examples of the breed. We are constantly evaluating our program for this as well as doing our best to not pass on any genetic diseases or problems! We consider our matings seriously, considering strengths and weaknesses in each mate and do not breed just because it's convenient. We provide a contract, registration application, 72 hr health/wellness guarantee, 2-year guarantee on hips and eyes, puppy starter package, picture pedigree, vaccination record,
toys, food and bones with each puppy as well as any help you may need along the way.
Our dogs are part of our family so we do not ship them off to be bred, do not lease them out, etc. In order to give our dogs the most attention we intend to never have more than 5 dogs here at the ranch (we have 2 now but hope to keep a pup back soon). Many of our dogs are in wonderful co-own homes where they get a great amount of attention and love.
Before breeding, we test our dogs for PRA/PRCD, Hereditary Cataracts, CERF, MDR1, and OFA (hips, elbows, patellas &
cardiac)! Tails docked, dewclaws removed. We are striving to produce the "whole package" - great structure, healthy, athletic, smart, willing, confidence, good drive, etc. We are only keeping breeding dogs from very consistant litters so we can continue on with consistancy in our litters. They are scrutinized strongly in structure and personality (using Suzanne Clothier's method) at 8 weeks or so. Our deposits are refundable if we cannot get the right puppy for your family in a reasonable amount of time!!!

74 Ranch has 4 breeding females on the ranch and a few co-own females living elsewhere. We test for HC, PRA/PRCD, MDR1, OFA and CERF! We watch pedigrees for future health and breed for the full package to improve the breed!
